8th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies for Disaster Management

September 13-15, 2023 - Cosenza, Italy

The University of Calabria will host the international conference “Information and Communication Technologies for Disaster Management (ICT-DM 2023)”, from Sept. 13 to 15 at University Club and at the University Language Center. The conference organized by Prof. Floriano De Rango, Professor of Telecommunications at DIMES will be an important moment to bring together researchers and professors coming from different parts of the world (Japan, Taiwan, USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, etc.) and working in the field of environmental and natural risks management, emergency and critical scenarios management. The conference is focused on ICT technologies exploited to model, monitor, and/or control potential environmental risks that can also heavily affect social aspects.

 

During the conference, world-renowned professors and researchers who have been recognized with several famous scientific awards will give interesting speeches. Specifically, there will be two keynotes on “on-demand connectivity through connected vehicles” by the IEEE Fellow Prof. Falko Dressler (TU of Berlin, Germany) and a presentation on “resilience and safety of electric vehicle infrastructure for sustainable transportation” by the IEEE Fellow Prof. Chadi Assi (Concordia University, Canada) respectively. In addition, two keynotes on complex networks by Prof. Manlio De Domenico (University of Padua, Italy) and on hydrogeological risk modeling by Prof. Beniamino Russo (Universidad Politecnica de Barcelona - UPC), respectively.
