Corso di dottorato: Copernicus Programme and Earth Observation from Satellite

Copernicus is the European Union’s EO Programme, coordinated and managed by the European Commission in partnership with other Agencies. This PhD course aims to provide an overview of the Copernicus Programme and its core-services, backgrounds of applied Earth Observation. The information provided by the programme are free and accessible and can be used for a wide range of applications and in a variety of subject areas including urban area management, sustainable development and nature protection, planning, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, health, civil protection, infrastructure, transport and mobility. The PhD course is designed with a transdisciplinary approach and for a large public of PhD candidates. The final goal is to achieve awareness of the space data potentialities in the downstream sectors and to enhance the uptake of the Copernicus data, services and value-added products.
