Network For AI & In-network Computing
Research Abstract
My research topic deals with the concept of “Network For AI”. Exploiting programmable data plane devices (PDPs) and the “in-network computing” paradigm, the main objective of my research is to exploit the Network in order to enhance distributed Machine&Deep Learning classification and inference tasks executing and terminating them directly “in-network”. These concepts are then applied to the Network Security field, trying to use the “in-network distributed classification” in order to build an “in-network anomaly-based Intrusion Detection System” making the network itself the primary line of defence against cyberattacks and blocking malicious traffics while they are traversing the network devices.
