Research Abstract
The research activities of my PhD in Information and Communication Technologies include the study and design of components and sub-systems in SiGe BiCMOS technology for three different types of applications: SatCom on the Move in the Ka-band, indoor monitoring systems based on radar and SAR DBF. The study was aimed at developing networks of beamforming, front-end and integration. Different types of beam forming network are analysed considering both systems, beam-switching on-chip such as, for example, the Butler matrix that distribution systems of power controlled by the switch. Another topic of may PhD is the study of losses in CMOS technology.
