Microwave Techniques for Environmental Protection and Monitoring
Research Abstract
Microwave-based techniques are effective tools for environmental protection and monitoring. This research aims to design and implement microwave sensors able to measure abiotic factors for practical applications in environmental contexts. The dielectric properties of materials, which depend on several parameters including frequency, temperature, and composition, play a critical role in the electromagnetic interaction. The variations in the frequency response of complex relative permittivity of materials can be related to their properties, thus leading to significant implications for environmental monitoring and protection.
