“Cloud computing and virtualized data centers” – Proff. C.Mastroianni, R.Giordanelli

Corso di “Cloud computing and virtualized data centers”
Proff. C.Mastroianni, R.Giordanelli

Abstract:
The course will introduce the technologies adopted by modern Cloud solutions, specifically: virtualization, orchestration of virtual machines, definition and management of light virtual machines, i.e., containers. The course will describe innovative techniques, based on recent research in the fields of bio-inspired algorithms and swarm intelligence, which are adopted to optimize the allocation and scheduling of virtual machines in data centers. The use of mathematical models and formalisms will be illustrated with concrete examples. Moreover, the course will discuss the results obtained through the analysis and processing of real log data extracted from the data centers of big Italian companies

Course schedule:

Tuesday 19 april 10:00-13:00, Meeting Room of DIMES
Thursday 21 april 10:00-13:00, Meeting Room of DIMES
Friday 22 april 10:00-13:00, Meeting Room of DIMES
Tuesday 28 april 10:00-13:00, Meeting Room of DIMES
